The Herring sits directly across Herring Road from Macquarie University, two minutes from Macquarie University Metro station and four from Macquarie Centre. For most residents, the commute is a set of traffic lights.
Inside, the building is organised around the shared rooms rather than the corridors: a café at ground level, a library and study floors that stay open through exams, a media room, a games area, and a rooftop terrace that catches the afternoon sun. Rooms are private and quiet. Everything else is designed to be used.
It is operated by Hommy — our own staff at reception, our own maintenance team, and the Hommy resident app for access, bookings and requests.
